We (the folks at Contextly, Inc.) run a content recommendation service called Contextly and would love for you to use it on your blog or publication to help you show off your best content to readers.
Our basic personal service is free, and we offer paid upgrades for advanced features such as house ads, design testing, extra traffic and analytics report. Our service is designed to give you as much control and ownership over the content recommendations as possible and encourage you to use the editorial tools freely. However, since our recommendations show up on your site, we ask you to be responsible in what you publish. In particular, make sure that none of the prohibited items listed below appear on your site or get linked to from your site (things like spam, viruses, or hate content).
We love helping online publishers, from publications knocking out daily news stories to love-of-labor personal sites. We provide high-quality recommendations and we want to work with quality publications of all stripes.
But there are some kinds of publications we have no interest in supporting.
Here's a list of the kinds of sites that are banned from using Contextly: Scraper sites, automated blogs, SEO blogs that are focussed on manipulating Google, affiliate marketing blogs promoting get-rich schemes or unproven health-supplements, and sites promoting pirated intellectual property or traffic in passwords.
Honestly, Contextly's not going to be great for those kinds of sites and there's plenty of automated services with trashy ads that are more suited to that kind of publishing.
If you find a site using Contextly that you believe violates our terms of service, please contact us at email@example.com.
Creative Commons License: (This Terms of Service is available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license, which means you're more than welcome to steal it and repurpose it for your own use, just make sure to replace references to us with ones to you. Since we adapted and repurposed it from WordPress.com which paid to get this made, please find a nice way to link to them (and maybe us) somewhere on your site.)
